in Sync wins the international YAMAward for Best Large Ensemble Production
We’re thrilled that our co-production with Scottish Ensemble has won the prestigious YAMAward in the Best Large Ensemble category. The YAMAwards celebrate the very best of live music for young audiences from companies across the globe so it’s a genuine privilege to recieve such a nomination, let alone win the award!
Liz was able to collect the award at the 2023 International YAMSession held in Tatui, Brazil where she also presented our Musician in Residence programme to delegates from across the globe and showcased the wonderful MishMash Ensemble. Scottish Ensemble and MishMash Productions join forces for in Sync - a show for young people featuring an explosion of live music from twelve phenomenal string players.
Through movement and storytelling, the show introduces first-time classical music audiences and established fans to a diverse tour-de-force of classical and folk music from across the world.
With music chosen for its immediacy, drama and emotional variety, in Sync is performed entirely from memory and features musicians moving amongst the audience – bringing people closer to the humans at the heart of the music.
